Students worked some of those events didn't they?  I know they served at  some parties there.

Volunteers.  Think about it...is HLA going to send kids, to an event in which they want to look good, that have even the remote possibility of causing a scene.  You have said it yourself, RB, HLA likes to hide the kids that cause trouble.  These were definitely volunteers.

Well, accepting "volunteers" to do the work of people who normally get PAID for their effort is highly ILLEGAL.  It is a violation of Georgia law to use program residents as laborers for the financial benefit of the facility or its principals.  It is also a violation of federal labor law to use minors as labor.

HLA is in a HEAP of TROUBLE here, people.

Any other place and I might agree with that assesment, however this is HLA we're talking about.

The situation could just as easily be forcing restriction kids to work, threatening them with an intervention should they disrupt anything.

Or perhaps forcing the general pop kids to work, threatening them with a restriction should they disrupt anything.....they can claim it falls under the...oh I don't know...sex agreement.

I'm sure you can see the theraputic value in this....

In any event I don't know this to be the case, I'm just taking HLA's proven track record into account.
