It was a small blurb on the local news here in Va.

Willie Nelson's bus was stopped in Lousia for a routine mechanical inspection.

It appears that this was more than likely a ruse because authorities found 1 and a half pounds of marijuana and 1 and a half ounces of (narcotic ) mushrooms .

Willie and a few band members were charged with simple possession.

This was on the news last night 9/18/06

Roll on Willie Roll on .

Well, he's pretty famous, and probably can afford to score in larger amounts than they typical weedhead, plus, he was travelling with a few friends who obviously share his love for the wonderful WEED of Wisdom, so it kind of makes sense that they would have a stash that large.  Also, it's probably a hassle for Willie to score every few days, he travels a lot, and it's a hassle, so why not score big while you can.  If you're a touring musician on the road away from home, you might not be able to find any weed at your next few stops, so you grab it when you can.  Hell, Willie's as famous nowadays for his pot smoking as he is for his music, he has been comendably using his fame to help bring an end to marijuana prohibition.
