Plea for help: Kid stuck in TB for 4 years

This is a plea for help. I won't release any names publicly, but i just got off a long phone call a desperate parent who is trying to get their child out of TB. The boy has been there 9 months (i had incorrectly stated 4 years) and counting. If anyone knows of any good legal resources, or has contact with someone inside TB (client or staff) that can provide info, please PM me.

Post this under Troubled Teen Industry and WWASPS forums, it'll get more exposure there.

Good luck!  I hate hearing about shit like this.  It's gotta be a custody issue, right?  Otherwise the parents would just go and get them.

exactly, yes.

i spent probably an hour or more talking to her yesterday and it wasn't easy to listen to what she had to say.

Youre not giving any specifics at all.

Do you have custody? Was he placed there by a court order?

If you have custody its a matter of exercising your parental rights. Even if you only have parital custody thats sufficient to get him out. Plus Im sure you can get a injunction against placement outside of the country, or even the state if you pushed for it.

What Im wondering is why youre such a chicken shit and haven't done that yet. Call the fucking cops!
