Cue the trolls who are going to argue "he didnt die in the care of wwasp so they are not responsible". You know, the same soulless fucks who troll the RIP threads here. Well, here's a pre-emptive  to you trolls. QUOTE

This was the boy in the French documentary?
What a sad story that was to see. It was as if the boy was already dead inside. Remember in the film when he was shown walking aimlessly along his trails. What a horrible waste of a young life.
Even if he would have died from this condition otherwise, it is sad to know he lived the last portion of his life in misery.
Shame on WWASPS and anyone who supports them.

I don't think it is correct to say Layne lived the last part of his life in misery - not at all. Yes, he had some set backs - but I have to say, in conversation, he always seemed friendly and positive and generally just very good natured.

You look at the film and you think to yourself "aimless wandering" - and maybe that's what the film maker was going for - but I can tell you based on conversations we had, he was not aimless about anything. He had definite goals and was working at achieving them. He had things he enjoyed; and living he looked forward to.

Yes, what he suffered under the Program at TB was horrific. Even program supporters admit as much (and you know how rare that is) And yes it caused him problems - but he was by no means dead inside.

None of these kids are dead inside.

Layne's death is tragic on many levels. Any time such a young person dies - it is tragic, and we are left feeling diminished by the loss.

Well said, Buzz

"It is true.

It wasn't suicide or foul play.

He had an enlarged heart and it is thought that this is propbably what killed him. The ME's report isn't in yet. I'm told his mom called him around noon and he seemed fine. When she got home from work around 6 he had died.

This is such sad news - Layne was a very sweet kid - I liked him a lot.

BK,
Had Layne taken psychiatric drugs? Some, particularly Ritalin, can enlarge the heart and result in death.
