It will be this fall, and I am inviting the press and anyone else interested.
We are still in the brainstorming phase if you have any ideas.
My idea is to perform a ceremony for our own personal healing and to call attention to the fact that we ARE healing from a very real and ongoing disaster.

Count me in...if not in body then in spirit!
Maybe we can have multiple ceremonies simultainously (sp). This way the travel distance/time is reduced...perhaps more people would be inclined to attend. Also, it would be umm program specific...that is it would be more (I think) powerfull experience to attend a ceremony at the Morgan Yacht building or any of the 3 buildings I was in...as oppossed to going to Atlanta or other locations. If they were all held at the same time, there maybe an increased chance of media exposure because of the enormity and georgraphical spread of the abuse.
Unfortunately, my direct experience with these gatherings has shown that few people actually show up. Perhaps with adequate planning and a clear sense of purpose...not to mention a minimalization of back biting and shit slinging...a very powerfull event could be held and most probably would be good for us all. As well I think it would give us all a good reason to tip back a few, maybe burn a few...ease a few of the tensions...heal a few of the wounds.
I was thinking of some sort of collective eulogy (sp) that somehow embraces all of our experience, in relation to Straight Inc. Have that sent to media and have it read at each event simultaniously, then each location read the list of people who did not survive from that location...make any sense?
Anyways, just brainstorming along to what I think is a great idea ya had there D-Fly!

As usual Woof, I like your ideas. I think the idea about simultaneous ceremonies at the different $tr8 warehouses is great. I think it would be very powerful if we could get the press to report that there were all these $tr8 survivors conducting this ceremony simultaneously to honor the memories of those who did not survive. I think there is an opportunity for the Cincy survivors to contact Eve Mueller, who covered the Columbus protest just this past spring and get her to come out to cover the ceremony. She is already very interested in our story and if the Cincy survivors could tie this ceremony in with KHK, it would help to keep the heat on them.
Even if we just held simultaneous traditional street protests outside of each building and got media coverage, that would be very powerful. Imagine a protest at Family Pathways in Detroit being conducted at the same time as a protest in Cincy against KHK, which would be held at the same time as protests in Florida, Springfield Va, Dallas TX, Stoughton, Mass, etc...
...and then maybe we could all meet in the middle...where would that be... ::hatter::
