Wow, brings back memories of Deborah.  She use to put up job postings and then make fun of the people who wanted to help kids or were trying to better themselves thru education.  These were hard working people who enjoyed helping others.  (which it was obvious that she couldn’t relate to people like that).  If you believe in Karma she is probably working 60 hours a week for like $15 an hour and the people around her are posting pictures of her on the internet and making fun of her family.  Payback is a bitch sometimes... well not always in that gender form, but you know what I mean.

Listen to Ervin's wheels spin.  Nowhere in the ad does it say Aspen will help these GED'ers "better themselves thru education".   That ad isn't for line staff Mike.  It's for the residential supervisor.  The line staff positions must only require a pulse and a proclivity toward extreme violence.  Aspen doesn't want counselors, they want grunts, prison guards.

Just a walk down memory lane....Never did Deborah offer to enlighten us on what qualifications she felt were needed for those various positions.  Didnt matter if it were a GED position or doctorate......Just took the opportunity to purge hatred upon others whom she never knew for the sheer satisfaction of hurting someone she didn’t have to face.  To me she was the face of fornits back then.

Anybody conducting group therapy with the kids needs more than a GED.  An LCSW at the very least. I'll be less demanding than a lot of your targeted cash cow parents and even accept students working toward their degrees.  

The curriculum vitae on every individual working in a program should be readily available to parents who want background on the staff they're entrusting their kids to.  Considering the cost of Aspen's programs, do you think your paying customers want line staff with GED's for the money they're putting out?

This question of line staff credentials has upset you hasn't it?  Your in a criminal business.  Become a smart criminal and don't put ads on the internet displaying your willingness to take unqualified staff.

While we're talking about it, full criminal background checks should be run on program staff/clinicians and be readily available for parents to review.  You want transparency don't you?  Hiding shit gets programs in trouble when the shit comes to light.  You know that.

Sure, any parent can call and ask for the information that they feel they need to help them make the best decision for their child.  If the job calls for a doctorate then hire a doctorate, if it can be accomplished by someone less qualified then why waste peoples money.  Why should a residential supervisor who sits at a desk from midnight till 8:00 am need to be a doctor.  Maybe they need to be able to use the phone to call a doctor... lets review the job description and duties first.

Way ahead of you.  This has been on my list for a long time.  I would also like to add that a third independent party sign off on all placements i.e. child therapist, school counsellor etc.

Well actually I am still here and she has left.  I held her feet to the fire on the list she used to publish about kids dying in programs.  If any of you remember any kid could make the list if they were driving by a program or were at home thinking about a program when they died.  I debunked that quick enough.  Then there were the list of staff who she claimed were unlicensed and posted expired licenses as back up.  I systematically researched and found each one to be licensed within the state they were practicing.  She was very deceiving and I called her out and exposed her tactics.  Shall I continue...?  So I would agree that one of us could not handle transparency or the embarrassment but it wasn’t I.
