TheWho admits that he enjoys making fun of the personal testimonies of sexual abuse victims.

He admits he finds one of the most detailed and horrifying accounts "struck him as a little funny".

He copy/pasted the most graphic part of this survivor's testimony.
Then added his own comments in a sadistic attempt at humor. The
day after the survivor posted their original story.

TheWho posted in response to one guest  as a way to "Get back at that guest" and "try to be funny".
He failed at both.

He did, however, manage to show his true nature, decide for yourself.

In an earlier post he claims he would believe a survivor if he knew nothing of the facility (as in this case).
A confirmed lie.

He will not just disbelieve a survivor. He will copy/paste their words.
Add his own jokes about sexual and physical abuse in captivity.

 A truly disgusting spectacle of immaturity by TheWho.

The Who admits to finding testimony of sexual and physical abuse "a little funny" and is a confirmed liar.

Why would TheWho copy/paste this from a survivor's story and add his own disgusting comments and make fun of child abuse? The comments int he parenthesis are TheWho's, the rest was copy/pasted from a survivor testimony posted one day earlier, detailing sexual abuse and other horrible forms of abuse.

I like the “in captivity” spin.  This adds a Jacque Cousteau flavor to the whole Therapeutic boarding school discussion… only on fornits !! …Ha,Ha,… you gotta love this.  The next step would be a safari theme, where we hunt kids down and place them in isolation until they are tame… this is priceless.  I should go away more often.

Like I have said all along trust your instincts and if anyone gives you advice in absolutes (i.e. all schools are good or all schools are bad) you should view this as a red flag.  Try to get as much information as you can.  Talk to your childs therapist, school counselor, talk to parents who had kids graduate from the schools you are considering and make an informed and balanced decision.  These people have had experience with the system and can answer your specific questions.


To PJ and Jena L.:
 Get a user name if you want to PM me real time..I don’t recommend specific schools... screw the discussion you are going in circles, you can always get a new counselor for Maggie for a second opinion ...but in the mean time look at some of the posts here and/or contact the people I gave you, but I do recommend that you don’t sit on this.

Notice he never suggest "talk to your child". There inlies the difference between those of us who know what these places are and recognize the truths about them, and people like the Who, who neither want nor have a clue.

What the hell does "inlies" mean?  I may not always agree with thewho, but you need to communicate a little better than that.  Your response doesnt make any sense.  It sounds like you are saying that some kids that go to the schools lie about what happens there to get attention or try to make the schools look bad because they are pissed off at their parents.
I am sure this happens sometimes but it is off topic.  Thewho was talking about ways to get sound/unbiased advice for their kids.

Talking about yourself in the 3rd person again Who? I told you this isnt a sign of strong mental health. Your confusion stems from a simple typo, it should read "therein lies", rather than "there inlies". Sorry to have confused you. To clear up any further frustration you might have "therein lies" doesnt have anything to do with lies as in the kind you tell all the time. Instead it means " here is where the problem is" as in you telling people seeking information that they should talk to anyone and everyone except the kids.

Something that again makes no sense whatsoever.

Talking to kids is also recommended.  When we were considering a school for my daughter we walked around the campus of ASR freely and had the opportunity to speak with many different students.   I would recommend spending a few hours at the school to get a feel for the people and staff.  Ask lots of questions and if you feel it is a good fit for your child then ask to speak with some parents who had children who were in the program.  Typically the family is in crisis at this point but taking a few extra days to research and get yourself comfortable with choosing the right school is well worth it.

Oh, here it is:
It is becoming increasingly clearer as more data comes in that TBS and wilderness programs provide a safe haven for kids who are at risk, especially as compared to the public sector (but I think we all knew that).  It will be interesting (and a challenge, in my opinion) to come up with numbers that compares these figures to other areas such as boot camps and correctional institutes which seems to have a higher level of violence and lower success rates.

I'm becoming increasingly frustrated that the person who raided my account is posting these numbers over and over again. I admit that I first posted them as a way of annoying Robert Bruce. Hard to not to want to annoy Bob as he takes it so very seriously. But now I really want people to understand that it was all a gag. I can't do that because someone has hacked my account.

I'm certain it is one of three people perpetuating this fraud. It is either Bob, DJ, or TSW. They are known for their dirty tricks.
