What's up with the Yahoo satellite board?
« on: June 07, 2006, 06:05:00 PM »
All of a sudden there's all these posts calling for moderation and no more anon postings.......both here and on the Yahoo site. Now there's a Yahoo Satellite forum over here?  What's up?  You guys who WANT no anons already have a couple of sites that require registration and do not allow anon postings.  Why the big push to change this one?

Cuz it irritates the hell outta me that a few assholes on here like to think they have some kind of right to tell the owner of the board how to run it.  Then if she doesn't bend to their will they spam or put up repeat postings calling for censorship or registration or moderation.   If that doesn't work they start making shit up about pedophiles contacting some non-existant child and performing terrible acts on her.

Believe me, I don't waste too much time here anymore.  Was in West Palm the other day, going to NYC next week and Miami after that.  I don't have time for the petty bullshit but I did feel the need to speak up about this.  Especially since it seems a little more than coincidental that I suddenly see postings on BOTH sites calling for registration on Fornits.  You guys already have your all-registration site.  Again, why do you feel the need to try and control EVERYthing?

What is it Ginger's been saying?  Don't cuss the farmer with your mouth full.

Well I, for one, don't try to tell anybody how to do anything, especially Ginger! Who the fuck do you think set the new forum up anyway? Yep...that would have to be Ginger I imagine...

Those posts irritate the shit out of me too, so I agree with you 100% there.

Well aren't you the hot-shit traveler?

Because someone sets up another forum that doesn't allow anon postings that means that they are "attempting to contol everything"? Do you realize how ludicrous that assertion is?? Come on, man....

I ain't cussin' nobody and I don't think anyone else is either...don't worry...the "Survivor" forum will remain as is...sheeesh...if I only got paid for this....

So i guess you just lurk on the alumni site? Just curious... It's just that it seems kinda paranoidly-weird of you.. It's probably a good thing that you won't be spending too much time on these boards..

Jesus Christ Alex, I checked the site when I saw the thread title here about a satellite yahoo forum and I was curious to see if there was any info over there since there really wasn't any here.

And yes, it's a very good thing that I don't stick around here very long.        All the clammoring for censorship just kinda makes my skin crawl.

Who is "you guys"? Why this lame attempt/need to be divisive? Really, that's a bunch of shit if you think about it. "You guys." Pffftt....

I wasn't referring to you in that statement.  I was referring to the few people that ARE trying to get Ginger to moderate, admin or otherwise censor.  The people who are talking about other boards and how THEY require registration and THEY moderate.   Pffft to that shit.

From what I can tell they don't like the way the yahoo board is set up technically but they do like that you can't post anon.  So now they've set up a *satellite* board here that you can't post on unless you're registered and logged in.  You can read it but you can't post.

To reiterate, you can't post anon, like you said before.

All cults/group think groups start out welcoming everyone! Then suddenly they slam the doors when enough people start to disagree or become too opinionated.
