I found my 14 year old duaghter reading this site maybe 4 months ago, and have been reading it myself since then.

A freind of hers was sent to a TC listed here. She posted an email address in an effort to make contact with her freind, and to make a long story short, was solicited for sex by an adult who claims he is a member here, and a former resident of the TC in question.

This man has been indicted.



Of course the people of fornits cannot reasonably be held accountable for this, Im curious what level of responsibility you might feel is yours due to it taking place here?

Theres plenty of discusion boards out there that operate effectively with memberships requirements.

Simply put: Registration with a valid email address AND an alternate email address. Name (which can be kept confidential) City and state of residency (also confidential, and validated via an IP trace if and when possible)

Approval of membership prior to access and the ability to post.

Hate to bust the bubble of those with such negative outlooks, but I would be willing to bet theres plenty of people who already spend thier lives in this site who would be appropriate candidates for moderator roles.

A "mod only board" to monitor banned people, and new registrations.
Its not extremely difficult to guess if you ban someone with an IP from Boston Mass, and the same day someone from boston with the same internet provider wants access...they are possible the same user.
