The Elan School in Poland Springs Me. has abused more children in the 35 or so years in existance than I can count. I was a resident for 2 years and worked there 2 more years.The kind of "treatment" inflicted on us was beatings,food/sleep deprivation,verbal abuse,sexual abuse,physical abuse.The abuse that I will remember till I die is the emotional abuse.These people should be ashamed of themselves and their shoddy business practices. These "people" who abused many of us in the 70's 80's and 90's are still working at Elan. A few in executive positions. It is beyond my understanding how this place existed in the 70's,but that it still operates today,is a grave injustice to those they claim to serve.
