War on Drugs has filled prisons, prisons have enormous Republican, and substantial Democratic, support. I would be reasonably sure the prison interests have lobbyists. There was quite a lot of discussion about prison building and running in California after "3 strikes law" passed. At the time, there were suggestions that prison building was the second or third largest biz in the state, and could rise. That would bmean there was huge money in it, ands common sense says the same

I think I would look into the prison biz if I were looking for the money path
