My tattoos offend people?
« on: March 31, 2006, 11:51:00 PM »
They're just my arms but they want me to cover them up on the job. It's flat-out discrimination, but then so are a lot of things. People are strange. I guess I just wasn't made for these times...

I intend to, eventually.. It's just a question of how much you can get away with and how soon... Anyone ever had trouble with employers because of their tattoos? i have them on my forearm and it's a problem sometimes...

what is more important to you? excelling at your job or your independence? which one pays you enough to tattoo your soul but not your arms? take the money, if you like the job, and schedule your independence because you just sound scared of being dominated by something you may do well at.

Tattoos only offend people that are scared to get them like me! I won't get a tattoo cause I am scared I wont like it later. When I see people with tattoos, I get jelous.

Heres a good idea:

You should go out and get a big tattoo right in the middle of your face, and some tattoos on your knuckles, perhaps the spades hearts diamonds and clubs, and finish off with a tattoo of a big red penis on your neck.
NOW you are ready for your interview.
Good luck!

I have most of my arms covered....not quite sleeves but damn near.
What I do is wear long sleeves for interview, dont mention them, then show up for work with short sleeves and once theyve hired you its too late.. they cant legally  fire you for that. I guess if you signed a uniform policy clause they can though..
Find another job...theres plenty of places to make good money that dont care about something so insignificant.
This is 2006, and we need to stop catering to the folks that cant handle seeing art in someones skin. If they are that uptight they need to stay home and shut the fuck up.
If Im at a store or something and some soccer mom
or suit and tie guy give me shitty looks I have no problem blurting " the fuck you looking at?" whilst glaring them in the eyes.

By the way I no longer hold doors open for mexican women as they never thank me..and give off the attitude its expected.
Sometimes Ill enter the stoor slower just so a mexican woman can catch up behind me and Ill let the door shut in her face. Sure Im petty but dammit it makes me feel good.
Is it not enough that I work and pay taxes so that mexicans can leech health care and food and shelter from me?
