Damage Control
« on: March 07, 2006, 09:35:00 PM »
Bucie has sent a letter to a bunch of EdCons all over the country inviting them to visit HLA within the next few weeks.   Guess he wants to show them that they shouldn't believe all the  big, bad rumors they've been hearing.

Also, the HLA now has an official Director of Public Relations listed on the website.  Hmmmm.....

Doesn't damage control usually fall to SHH?

SHH - Where are you?  We're curious for some of that "confirmation" you're able to run and get whenever you see a post that worries you.  Is Bill really leaving?  Is it true?

SHH?

Any way we can find out who he sent them to?
So, we can send our own...Also, I'd like them to check the 'Chalet', where the children that are
only on restricitons (for 1 1/2 hours, HA) are
sent when visitors are there...

Development and Public Relations are two entirely different functions.

Public Relations = Advertising

This reminds me of a quote from the famous economist Stephen Leacock:

"Advertising may be described as the science of arresting the human intelligence long enough to get money from it."

What could be a more apt description of the TeenHurt marketing strategy?

A group of consultants gets invited to the school at this time every year.  It is called the Dogwood Tour and has happened every year for probably seven or eight years now.  I am not saying things aren't crazy at HLA right now, but this is not out of the ordinary.
