Drake and Hendrix

Finally got hold of some Nick Drake., Five Leaves Left. if I had to compare it to something I know I'd say it reminds me of Guinivere by CSN&Y.  Also picked up Time of No reply, which I haven't tried yet.
Yeah we must have talking about ND sometime recently, eh? The memory is going a little. Like Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, or any guitar player who knows something about different ways to tune the strings, Nick Drake was much the innovator! My favorite album of his thus far (I think I still have yet to hear a few of them in their entirety) would have to be Pink Moon. Good start to finish, in the true sense of an album with songs that make sense together....
Here is a good page about him: http://www.algonet.se/~iguana/DRAKE/NDinterviews.html

Hendrix is GOD! My friend's older brother took us to see this movie back in the late 70's at some theater in Baltimore. For me then, it was really cool to see Hendrix just hanging out with all them hippies and not saying too much...and then tearing it up on stage as if taken over by some unseen force......

I’m sort of stuck on this Rage Against the Machine song. Recently, reflecting on Daytop induced damage causes the lyrics “RALLY ‘ROUND THE FAMILY WITH A POCKET FULL OF SHELLS” to go screaming through my head. Does anyone know the name of this f*ing song?  :lala:  ::unhappy::

Yeah, it is and I really like that riff! It was on the other day...

Hawkwind seems like a blend consisting of Black Sabbath, Chrome and Faust.
