If you would have justice in this world, then begin to see that a human being is not a means to some end.  People are not commodities.  When human beings are just to one another government becomes obsolete and real freedom is born; SPIRITUAL ANARCHY.

That's the absolute worst Lou Reed song, ever, and he's done some shit.  Metal Machine Music sounds good compared to that one......

Mooney Suzuki--"Legal High" & "Naked Lady"

The Kinks--"Wicked Annabella"

The Who--"Armenia City In The Sky"  (smoke enough weed and we'll meet there)

Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood--"Some Velvet Morning"  (freaky country-pop psychedelia, 1968.  Lyrics :Some velvet morning when I'm straight/I'm gonna open up your gate/ And maybe tell you 'bout Phaedra/And how she gave me life   Then Nancy sings in reply: Flowers growing on the hill/Dragonflies and daffodils/Learn from us very much/ Look at us but do not touch/ Phaedra is my name .  This song is DAMN WEIRD, weirder if you consider it was written by the guy who wrote "These Boots are Made For Walkin". It is occasionally used as bumper music by Art Bell when he hosts 'Coast-to-Coast AM")

Gov't. Mule--"She Said She Said" (Beatles cover)

Hoodoo Gurus--"I Was A Kamikaze Pilot"  (great song, cool lyrics "Taught how to take off/ Don't know how to land/ Something's the matter but I don't understand", plus the final lines "Cherry blossoms all around......."

Flaming Lips--"Mountainside" (from their last good album, In A Priest Driven Ambulance.  Everything they have done since then sucks due to pompous artfaginess.   They were much better as a drug-damaged garage band.)

Jane's Addiction--"Three Days"

Cracker--"Low"

Nick Cave--"Red Right Hand"

LOL, then you must really hate it then!

I know, certainly not his best album by any stretch... They can't give the damn thing away at the used record store i used to go all the time. Still, i kinda like that title track that i posted there. it's one of the better tracks on that album (which isn't saying much, i know) kinda stupid lyrics, but i've always liked 'em anyway...hell, lou sings it pretty good despite its somewhat debatable suckiness...at least it's more uplifting than Berlin (shudder)

Yeah, Berlin is a real downer.  A friend in college used to put it on during acid trips to try to depress people.  I beat him with Dark Angels by the Kronos Quartet, it made him never want to trip with me and my g/f again.
