Residents--"Eskimo" & "13th Anniversary Tour Live In Japan" (Cry For The Fire rocks! Snakefinger's guitar solo on the end of this version always moves me to my very soul, yes it does, indeed. It's originally found on "The Big Bubble", which is The Residents portraying the band The Big Bubble, who are characters in "The Mole Trilogy", a story about the struggle between the Moles and the Chubs, who had previously fought a war that devastated both sides, but had recently been living together, uneasily, in the Chub cities. After a while, a 'return-to-the-roots' type movement, the Zinkinites, arose amongst the Moles, (and amongst some Mole/Chub hybrids, who ironically became some of the most violent proponents of the Zinkinites), led by one Kula Bokka. Kula Bokka was the intellectual and political genius behind the movement; he realized that in order for it to succeed, he had to harness the energy, idealism, and naivete of the Mole youth. He found a rock band called The Big Bubble to promote his ideas, including them at a huge rally where they played songs such as "Kula Bocka Says So" and "Cry For The Fire", the latter of which contained lyrics in the ancient language of Mohelmot, the public use of which had been banned since the end of the war. Good stuff.
