Black Sabbath--Black Sabbath

I think this first one may be the best album they ever recorded... There's something about it, a certain raw quality..

Master of Reality is good start to finish, too.. but doesn't have quite the energy the first one has.

Absolutely, from the Wizard, Sleeping Village etc its probably their best stuff. i liked all their albums. Sabotage appealed to me alot as well. great stuff!

Tons of R E M
We can now cover 2 hours  of R E M. Trying to sell tribute gig. I hope I don't wind up getting sick of music that I really love.
Other than that,
Black country (Jason Bonham)
Halestorm.

PS. What would a good name be for an R E M tribute.
Murmur?

Saw George @ the L.A. Coliseum in '81, part of a Rolling Stones show. J. Geils Band was there also with about 102,000 peeps. We were down on the grass in front of the stage, the women were so hot (pun intended) they decided to air it out. What a show. If I remember correctly that dude who sings "Party like it's 1999" and also sang "Purple Rain" was there, lasted up on stage for a whole 15 mins. Think it had something to do with his outfit, no shirt, fishnet stocking with a thong over that w/pumps draped with a large trench jacket. Security at the gate must have been lack because I never saw so many bottles being thrown in my life. The band ran for their life. The producer of the show came running out and cursed us out (I did not thrown anything, of course) this is the same famous producer of shows who died maybe 10-15 years ago in a helicopter accident hit some electrical wires, anyway everyone starting threatening him so he left quickly and moments later George came out and asked us if we wanted to rock.
You know the rest.

REM is very cool. Tribute bands, saw one it felt weird. I'll leave it at that.

BTW, listening to Joss Stone.

So true, that song makes me cringe. Sad, cause I really like REM alot but that particular tune makes me wanna hurt something every time I hear it.
"Don't Go Back to Rockville" is one of my favorites. When I was in Atlanta Straight I spent my last few months there living with a family in Rockville. They were such nice people, I think about them every time I hear that song.
