Re: Starting my own teen rehab

I'm thinking about starting a teen treatment center.  I'll be sure to only take kids that aren't crazy, you know, I don't wanna deal with ones that need psychiatric care.  I'll be cool with them, let them do whatever, get high, fuck each other (I'll provide condoms and birth control), I'll identify known weed dealers so they can be sure to stay away from them, etc.  I'll maker sure they have enough food, I figure a cafeteria style buffet or something would be easiest.  I'll get the kids Playstations and shit, and the only "rules" would be that they have to be cool and act like they're being "rehabilitated" dureing the couple of hours each month the parents see them.  We'l;l charge about 12 grand a month, and will hire a staff of shills to interact with the parents during mandatory parent raps (that are conveniently scheduled, we don't wanna piss the bill payers off too much).  I really think this idea will work, and the kids are better off at my rehab than at a WWASP school or some other sick program   It'll be like Robin Hood, bilking stupid rich programmie parents out of the cash.  We'll even set aside some in a savings account shouold the kids ever feel the need to "cop out", but I don't think they will.  We'll encourage them to go to school, but if they feel that their treatment takes precedence over their education, well, we can handle that.  I'm serious.  If you guys have any suggestions as to locations or other useful suggestions (seriously, I don't wanna read about SIBS, it's funny, I know, the guy who started that joke is one clever SOB, I'll tell ya that, but this is for real)  I think that the kidds will be bettrer off, the parents will be deprived of money that would otherwise be spent enriching some child abuser, and we will profit mightily.  It's a win-win-win situation.  Let me know if you want in on the ground floor of this amazing opportunity.  If we claim that our staff are graduates of "one of the most rigorous rehabilitation programs ever devised" we wouldn't be lying, now would we?

The real kicker will be after "graduation" when we recommend medical marijuana to both the kids and the parents.

Blue Oyster Cult--"In Thee" (Beautiful song, saw them do it acoustic a couple of years ago with Allen Lanier singing and playing guitar.  Awesome.), "Subhuman" (live), "Flaming Telepaths", "Tenderloin"

David Bowie--"Be My Wife"

The Angels--"Face The Day" (great song by an AC/DC-discovered Aussie rock band.  Good rock and roll.  Known as "Angel City" in the US, [to avoid mistaking them for KISS' buddies Angel], they never really hit it big.  I remember listening to them on WJAX-FM, Rock 95, back in my youth.  Damn cool about Pandora, they got a HUGE group of artists they draw their playlists from.  I have heard bands I'd never heard before, and some I haven't heard in years.)

Rainbow--"Long Live Rock and Roll"  (OK, it's Val's station, so there was bound to be an appearance by that little Elfin twit of whom she is so enamoured.   Personally, I would have taken 'Man On The Silver Mountain', but this is still better than anything he did after leaving Rainbow, except for Heaven And Hell by Black Sabbath.  Plus, Ritchie Blackmore is pretty cool, even if Rainbow isn't as good as Deep Purple was.)

Black Sabbath--"Dirty Women"  (not their best)

Bloodrock--"Jessica"

The Kinks--"(Wish I Could Fly Like) Superman" (live)

Judas Priest--"Rocka Rolla"

Humble Pie--"Go For THe Throat"

The Cars--"Don Cha Stop", "Bye Bye Love"

Hawkwind--"Urban Guerilla"

Echo & The Bunnymen--"Soul Kitchen"

The Stranglers--"Golden Brown", "No More Heroes", "No Mercy", "La Folie", "Tank"

Kaiser Chiefs--"Moon", "I Predict A Riot"

Novatone--"Goods"

Devo--"Beautiful World", "Secret Agent Man"

The Fall--"Deadbeat Descendent", "Kurious Oranj"

If you would have justice in this world, then begin to see that a human being is not a means to some end.  People are not commodities.  When human beings are just to one another government becomes obsolete and real freedom is born; SPIRITUAL ANARCHY.

I love 'In Thee'!  Great song!  I bet the accoustic rendition is even better than what I've heard.

And     about your comment about 'that little Elfin twit of whom she is so enamoured'!  Yeah, well...he's got a great voice!  He DOES, indeed, look like a Satanic elf, tho... Maybe part of the charm, I dunno...  'Man on the Silver Mountain' is a great tune!  And 'Wishing Well' is good and all!

Did you use Pandora for anything by Ritchie Blackmore?  He made Blackmore's Night...kind of a a Renaissance Rock.  It's good.

Never heard of 'Dirty Women' or 'Rocka Rolla'.  Were on earth have I been?!  :-?
