Does anyone remember Jeff Leugers?
« on: January 22, 2006, 02:11:00 PM »
Hi - I am a close relative of Jeff's - not close enough to know what he was thinking when he died but close enough to love him.  I was unaware of what was going on in Straight and since his mother felt it was the right think to do - we all agreed.  Obviously now I know it was not right.  I miss him and I wonder if anyone has any pleasant memories of Jeff they could share?  His decision to commit suicide haunts me every day.

I remember Jeff very well.  He was a Junior staffer when I 7th Stepped.

He was in the Cincinnati program, but I believe he also did a start over program in St. Pete in 83.

How are his parents?  Do you have an e-mail address for them?  You can e-mail me privately if you'd like.

One of the things I remember about Jeff was his ability to just cut loose.  He danced for the group to the song Mr. BoJangels, he was so funny.  Everytime I hear that song I think of Jeff and brings a smile to my face.

He was loved by a lot of people and I miss him too.  Once in a while I'll visit his grave as it is on my way to work.
