How many ex seedling/straightling dead heads?
starry-eyed pirate:
Ever'one I knew after $tr8 was some kind of a head.
I travelled around some a few years after $tr8. I paid attention to where the dead would be and timed my travels accordingly. I was on a few tours. My favorite places that I ever saw the Dead was Autzen Stadium in Eugene. saw 'em there 2 days in a row in like '90. That place was wild. Little Feat opened both shows.
I caught JGB once at the Warfield Theatre in downtown S.F. As I walked into the place I noticed that some kid was preachin' somethin' to the crowd that was swirling around him like a river. It was a cat I knew!! A cat who had been my oldcomer at one time!! I went over to him and said: "Whats up brother ??" I can't remember now what he was yellin' about but he was like some kind of a John the Baptist in the Jordan river.
At the end of the show while Jerry was jammin' Tangled Up In Blue I went up to the top of the seats and opened up the exit to the fire escape and stood out on there, on the escape, about 4 stories high and looked out over the red light district of S.F. in the fog and listened to Jerry play.
I saw lotsa cats an' sistas I knew(from $tr8 cult) on tour an' at the Reggae Festival up in Humboldt circa 1990.
Do you have any Reconstruction ??

Deadheads thronged to Wisconsin's Alpine Valley outdoor concert venue on August 3 as the venerable touring band reunited -- minus late guitarist Jerry Garcia -- for the first time since Garcia's passing a decade ago. And while the music was reportedly great, police actions during the concert brought back some less fondly remembered vibes as well.
According to figures released by the Walworth County Sheriff's Department, ten concertgoers were arrested for possession of psychedelic mushrooms, 80 for state marijuana law violations, and 269 more were given county citations for marijuana violations. Police reportedly seized 51 pounds of pot, more than 7,000 doses of LSD, 8.8 grams of liquid LSD, 10 pounds of mushrooms, 82 grams of hash, nine grams of heroin, six grams of cocaine and a tank of nitrous oxide.
With a standard $407 fine for each county marijuana citation, Walworth County stands to add about $110,000 to its coffers from the marijuana citations alone. Who said those Deadheads would never contribute anything to society?
