The group only had a few guys in it. Where were all the rest of the kids being held? HMMMM
And only two guys were alowed to represent the "GROUP".
Any KHK survivors who suffered abuse there Penny said "We dont tolerate abuse ANYMORE!" So they tolerated it before? By her own admitance KHK ABUSED KIDS IN THE PAST. And they TOLERATED IT. Go get em! File charges! File reports and sue the pants off of them. CLOSE THAT PLACE DOWN. And by the way. IT IS STRAIGHT!!!!!! No changes at all. the vidoe could have been 20 30 years ago as it is today NO CHANGE!!!
PS does anyone remember the ART LINKLETTER visits and the cameras that were in SARASOTA? I remember down to the fact that I wore a white button down shirt and greenish/kahki pants that were new my mother bought them from K-MART. I remember that we were set up for open meeting and they were filming us. DOES any one else remember this?

I remember atleast 1 taping in Straight Va. I think it was a News team? It was in 1986. I remember we had to "dress up", we were staged, some people were removed from group. I was threatened if I "misbehaved" while the filming, there would be extreme consquences(how much more extreme could they have been?) I remember specific "cleaner" "more theraputic sounding" topics were discussed in group during the filming, Topics not normally discussed. Only higher phasers were even allowed to speak. I asked to speak to the film crew, and was refused and threatened.

And yes, the result of the filming in 1986 was almost exactly the same as this KHK video. KHK seems like they "staged" their filming exactly the same as Straight Inc.

Oh, another thing that just came to mind is.... during the filming in 1986, Very few phasers stood at the end of rows and they were told to not touch anyone, no restraining, no forced movements and No belt-looping. No client was allowed to touch another during the filming. I don't think phasers were guarding the doors either that day.

Did you all notice the greenish yellow tinge on their faces? And the Scabs???? Teens "break out" .. but Teens in Straight ALL break out due to Stress, Malnutrition, Lack of sunlight, LACK of cleanliness.

Did anyone notice the dirty bottoms of their jeans?

What is sadder, is many of those children don't even realize how abused they are.

WTH is the 2x4 locking any door for? How will those children get out during a fire?

And.. Do they always have desks in the group room? Or is that just staged for filming? Like there is some "observation" of the staff by other staff who are "observing" kids observing other kids? Are the desks new?

Wow! They get to wear shorts now. We never got to raise our hands, motivating only. Did you see they have trash cans at the end of the rows? we didnt have those haha and the chairs look a lil more comfortable lolol. Too bad they didn't discuss time-out rooms, restraints, confrontation and other key components like keying the kids in at night, or rip-raps, humiliation tactics. All in all it was just too short to make an impact, but it's always disturbing to see the motivating, not to mention the drone like singing, singing THE SAME OLD SONGS.

She doesn't think they're brainwashing them. I wonder if she realizes that to many professionals, unlike herself, that is exactly what they're doing. Tearing their individuality to shreds and scaring them for life in the process.

KIDS was investigated also, tho' not taped that I know of... when they were there, we were not allowed to motivate at all, only raise hands. Same rules - no restraints, but when we were walked to the bathroom it was hand on shoulder, and we were all lectured by THE HORRIBLE MAN himself beforehand on the dire consequences of anyone doing or saying anything questionable. About 15 people were not allowed in group that day - that they later called "Black Tuesday" or something... Now that I'm remembering it, they actually pulled a bunch of people out of group who were over 18 to see if anyone was being held against their wills. We didn't know at the time that this was happening, or I think there would have been a riot; we just noticed that that day a bunch of people disappeared and it was not mentioned again. We were told that the visitors might need to speak to some people, and that was it. Later on we found out because some kids who had chosen to stay got up in group and shared their guilt about their think-thought processes, and how they were experiencing fears that they wanted to leave. How fucked up is that anyway... NO SHIT they wanted to go!
