Sudweeks have Whitmore Mansion and Boys House on Market "FOR
« on: November 04, 2005, 07:57:00 PM »
The Sudweeks aren't just selling their herd of horses!

The Sudweeks have the Whitmore "Mansion" that houses Whitmore Academy and The Boys House on the market "FOR SALE."

Are the Sudweeks just feeling a financial crunch from a lack of student enrollment, and legal fees, or is there something going on here?

Hmmmmm.....

The so-called mansion is listed for $649,000.

Poor kids. Bet they are being worked to death cleaning that awful place up.

Where will the Suds move to if the mansion sells quickly? Any trailer parks in Nephi?

Think anyone would pay that amount of money for that place? Didn't they have to have someone sit on "fire watch" during the night for safety reasons?

Think this realtor can provide any documents Whitmore was actually run as a B&B?
Why is it not disclosed it is currently being run as a "school?"

perhaps someone should notify the Board of Realtors in UTAH.  Seems to me this is a false representaion.  Someone might think there is actually a "thriving" business there that is worth looking into!!!!

That listing does seem a bit strange. No discloser that the "historic Whitmore mansion" is currently being used as a school for troubled teens. Suggestions it was once a bed and breakfast. Is this a residential or a commercial listing? Looks confusing at best. The list price?  This is the town of Nephi, Utah. Sort of strange.

If that really is the Whitmore school, it doesn't look that bad! It seems like there are some neighbors. If there was abuse going on, don't you think the neighbors would report it? Cross Creek Manor was initially used as a B&B. The only neighbors CCM had were the people directly across the street, buried 6 feet under.

Why would the neighbors necessarially see the abuse?  Most child abuse goes on behind closed doors.  We read about it every day, abuse happening in a tract home with neighbors very close knowing nothing about it.  Looks can be very deceiving.  Don't be fooled by what "appears" to be.

Neighbors have reported the abuse at Whitmore. Some have even posted about the abuse here on fornits. The ugly little secret is out in the open.

Is this seriously still listed as a B&B?  What happens if people call wanting to stay there?
