Worst Rap Ever
« on: September 19, 2005, 04:22:00 PM »
In Springfield circa April 1987  (Ironically close to April fools day) there was a night rap (Saturday night I think) where exec staff member Dave Hubbard led a rap and asked the group "Who here is aware that Str8 is being sued?"  A few folks raised their hands...

Then Dave said that the court had decided to shut Str8 down and that we would not be coming back to the building the next day...or any day...

I was just off front row at the time and was extremely extatic...I was going home! MY two week nightmare was over!

People began to share about how scared they were that there was not going to be any more Str8... Jack GuthrAg3 was on 5th phase and I remember him crying...

A bunch of other folks shared in that rap about how scared that they were...everyone around me was crying... I was also cryin like a baby (happy tears). I cannot ever recall feeling so relieved about anything in my entire life!

Then after about 45 minutes of pure bliss...that F'Head Dave Hubbard dropped the bomb...

Stra8 was NOT closing :scared: They were sharing about how relieved they were that Dave Hubbard had lied to us...

Argh!!!!! It was horrible!!!!!

If you would have justice in this world, then begin to see that a human being is not a means to some end.  People are not commodities.  When human beings are just to one another government becomes obsolete and real freedom is born; SPIRITUAL ANARCHY.

I totally forgot about this! I was thinking, cool, I'm outa here...I'm gonna eat this and that and sleep in my own bed and play my guitar, alas, no.

Then I got all paranoid that I didn't want to cry when I heard it was closing.

In retro, Noodle, how many of your fellow captives do you think were probably acting cause they knew it was probably a trick?

I give money for church organs in the hope the organ music will distract the congregation's attention from the rest of the service.

It was hard for me to say...I was so new (two weeks) and I was just so relieved...

I DO recall it being very weird that some people were crying and UPSET that Str8 was closing... I was thinking these people are crazy...

Looking back I think that it is weird that no one who shared seemed happy...maybe the folks who were happy just kept it to themselves because they were so brainwashed that they felt guilty for being happy...or maybe they realized that it was a trick... I don't know...but there were definitely a lot of folks who seemed upset that it was closing...almost everyone who got called on was crying...

That said, I also recall a lot of folks (oldcomers included) who reported themselves the next day for being secretly happy that it was closing...

Yes Antigen

I suspect alot of those that had been around new something wasn't right with the rap topic and would reserve overt jubilance until they were outside looking at a closed building.

I bet that staffer had a good laugh to himself that night.

Musta been the day my jeans were in the wash. That was back in the good old days when we were all puppies, just learning how to behave. I learned how to put my hand out in front so a fifth phaser coulda see me, anda take me to the potty. Boo hoo. Nobody saw me. I had a axxident.

There was one chick in particular that ignored us when we put our hands up. It didn't even matter if we did the emergency hand gesture behind our chairs either. Ever notice the program super assholes never post so we can tell them about theirselves?

Not that one, but there is one in particular on several people's shit lists and that person refuses to post because of it.

I'll let my friend decide on this one. I have a soft spot for that person's family and all so I can't bring myself to do that.
