"Acceptance Hungry"
« on: September 17, 2005, 12:09:00 AM »
Does anyone recall being labeled "acceptance hungry" or is it just me recalling that staff did that and made the phaser do that too?

History does not record anywhere or at any time a religion that has any rational basis. Religion is a crutch for people not strong enough to stand up to the unkonwn without help. But, like dandruff, most people do have a religion and spend time and money on it and seem to derive considerable pleasure from fiddling with it.
--Robert A. Heinlen, American science-ficiton author

ye never heard that terminology used in STR8?

Religious controversies are always productive of more acrimony and irreconcilable hatreds than those which spring from any other cause.

"Trying to get his acceptance" was another way of saying kiss-ass. But I never heard acceptance-hungry specifically.
