I actually told my wife not to drive the Hummer anymore and just use the Honda for now on. She filled the Hummer the other day and it cost over $65.00. As far as filling my trucks, that is a write off for me because they are commercial vehicles, and what sucks even more 2 of them have to pull trailers.

As for my heavy machinery I use for digging foundations, they run on diesel, again, not break on diesel price. Back in 03 I was gonna buy a new pick up with a diesel engine in it, then I decided to go with 10 cylinder, don't bother even asking what kind of milege I get with it.

The diesel engines are great especially when towing. You get the same mileage towing as you do with no load but, oil changes consist of at least 11 qrts and cost over $65.00 depending on where you take it.

Every once and awhile I see a hybrid electric vehicle on the road and would laugh at the people driving them, but I guess they are laughing back at us now.

I don't know, if this is it, if this is the end for combustion, what are we to do? they gonna super duty electric hybrid pick up trucks? How abour hybrid excavatars? Man this really sucks.

If it keeps up, I'm gonna have to decide whether to make a bold descion for 2006 to all my existing costumers about raising the price of maintenace costs. I never raised my prices on any of them. Other companies do and they loose their customers.

Filling up 5 gallon gas tanks use to cost 5-7 bucks, now? It is over $14.00. I think this entire countrys economy needs an overhall. Mimium wage needs to be brought up to at least $10.00 an hour, everything needs to be overhauled period.

This situation is turning into and is worse then what it was like back in the 70's.
"

Super duty hybrid trucks will reportedly be released on the market in 2006.  They've already got the Toyota 4runner and Lexus rs400(?) out and making 250 or so hp on hybrid platform.

I heard Ford was releasing hybrid F-150 and also super duty model.

Have to wait and see...

I said F-150 AND super duty.  I can't remember where I heard it, but at the time it was near finished in R&D.

Hey Syn, Do you get fuel surcharges from your suppliers? We have been getting these for over a year now. They really piss me off! It should be factored into the product.
I would be out of business if I added a fuel charge to my customer's grocery bill.

Yesterday I took the truck out to get gas, my rear tank was empty so I filled it up. $3.11. Then topped off a gallon or 2 in the front tank, total price $56.00 and change. Now had I filled both tanks like I usually do, it would of cost $105.00 plus easily.

So they are charging as of last night anywhere from $3.11-$3.47 the highest I seen.

Not a bad idea. I guess I would need to send out a memo first b4 issuing one. It's a bold move for someone in my position, I would have to think about it.

WOW! That is low. Ours have been $50 for the past year. I can only guess that they will go to $75 to $100. I guess it depends on what is being delivered.

$47 to fill the tank -- of a sedan!  Un-fucking believable.

I don't know if prices are going up in Europe.  I imagine they won't be up as much because the southern United States probably isn't as big a supplier.  But their gas is insane, goes five to six bucks a gallon anyway.

The reason the gas is so expensive there isn't because of higher costs -- its actual cost is about the same as America.  They just have much higher/more numerous taxes on it.  It's nuts.

The other day I was driving ans seen a GS asking $3.92, the hihest yet I've seen. I pulled in and asked to speak to the owner, I was directed to him. After I located him i asked, excuse me, "but how do I get to the Buckinghams palace?" He replied, "the  Buckinghams, palace?" I said yes, I want to visit the Royal family. He said there are no royal families around here.

I told him, there must be, because I am in England. Then he asked if I were on drugs, and I said no. I asked if he took some acid and thought he was tripping that he was in England. I then said your gas prices are off the chart!

I then contacted state officials and 5 hours later he was slapped multiple fines and found to have been price gouging.

Just down the street a GS was selling gas for $3.19, and the next town over $3.05, where I filled up.

Yeah, Big Oil makes record profits, but gas prices are high because of Iraqi insurgents, Katrina, and the King of Saudi Arabia's death.  Uh-huh.
