I once drank a bottle that a girl brought back from Spain. It was kinda like nitrous oxide combined with being very, very drunk. It's not something you want to use regularly, because some of the psychoactive chemicals, thujones, that are found in absinthe remain in the liver permanently. Repeated regular use leads to toxicity, which leads to the legendary "madness" induced by excess consumption of absinthe.
