This is what is stated on the BYU website concerning Education Week.
"The Church Educational System continuing education programs do not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, color, or ethnic background or national origin, but all registrants must meet and maintain the ideals and standards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, while attending the program."
What gives the Sudweeks the right to send the students, from their "Boarding School," to classes pertaining to their (the Sudweeks')personal relgious beliefs. I find this to be very presumptious on the part of the Sudweeks and in violation of religious freedom.
The kids don't have any choice but to attend, since they are all camped out in tents the whole week. What happens, if any student choses not to attend? Anyone know?
