Dude!
You read my mind!
All joking aside - just last night I was killing some time seeing what popped up in relation to various search terms - and the adds for the wwasp parent's "reel 'em in" sites and related sites were overwhelming.
I was also wondering what a google add cost; how to place them; and so on.
I'd like to see ISAC at the top of every list related to every search term dealing with troubled teens.

The really funny thing is that this site comes up at or near the top for almost any term related to the industry. Know what I pay for that? Nothing   I just have relavent content that's well labeled and organized.

So go ahead and spend your money. It's fun watching you turkeys do that.

Not always Ginger. I couldn't bring you up last night googeling 'help for troubled teen'.
But usually you are right - Fornits and ISAC are right in the top ten.
I would like to see not only ISAC and Fornits, but some of the growing number of new sites also popping up in responce to such a word search.

The owner of http://www.tbfight.com advertises in google. He doesnt pay as much for keywords or advertising so his ads will not be displayed as frequently. Collectively as a group we should be donating to all of these awareness sites.

Yeah, I'm the admin@tbfight ... I pay about 20 bucks a month in advertising with google... It seems to be very helpful... Although it does cost money everytime someone clicks that link instead of just finding it through the search engines... The important part is that it is shown, that's why I continue to do it... TB BBS also does this... This usually means 1 out of 5-6 ads will be about the Real WWASP instead of the propaganda that they throw out... This is good...

And as far as how easy it is to find wwasp sites in search engines... well it is easy, they are everywhere... But with the emergence of all of the ex-students sites and other anti-abuse sites, a search tends to show a nice cross-section... I know for a couple weeks (before I re-designed my site) tbfight was showing #1 on yahoo/msn/google for the search term "wwasps"... #2 was *&*www.wwasps.org... lol, I beat them with their own name...
Fornits shows up real well, as does Rich's BBS and definently I.S.A.C... I think we are doing good... especially when you compare today to a few years back

Anyone familiar with Google and other search engines TOS or rules should try reporting some of WWASP?s sites. Its clear that WWASP is violating Google rules by creating clone pages and using other spamming techniques.

I have done so... I have also cleaned up the ODP pages of clone sites for wwasp... Of course I needed to leave the legitimate ones up there, but only one for each one... I am constantly seeing them try to submit clone sites though...

Yup. And the beautiful thing about it is that it's effortless. As blogs, ezines, journals and forums grow in popularity and ease of use, more and more ppl are just up and saying what they really think. Maybe if someone had effectively sued a few of us early on, it may have scared the rest off. But it hasn't gone down that way. I suppose they probably underestimate the potential impact of program vets speaking freely. In my experience, they're not lying to you so much as themselves when they g'won about all those thousands of happy graduates.

Our country has deliberately undertaken a great social and economic experimanet, noble in motive and far-reaching in purpose. [The Eighteenth Amendment, enacting Prohibition.]
Letter to Senator W.H. Borah
