AA/NA/Stepcult is guaranteed, 100% BULLSHIT.
They will NOT help you recover from drug or alcohol addiction, but will only indoctrinate you into their fucked-up religion.
"12 Spells and 12 Superstitions", the Stepcraft instruction manual for would-be "Sponsors", even says to encourage people who aren't fully accepting of the Stepcult to continue to use drugs or drink until they "hit bottom" (another fallacious idea popularized by the Stepcult) and "see the light" of the Stepcult.
What really irks me is the way the Stepcult has got the government court-ordering people to their meetings, and how the Stepcult has eclipsed other, legitimate means of recovery from addiction. Those guys are kooks and weirdos, and not in a good way. They really suck, and the amount of suffering they have caused with their myths and misinformation, and by keeping the truth about addiction and recovery out of sight, is enormous.
These guys must be stopped. I suggest putting Kahlua and LSD in their coffee makers at their meetings. Goddamned brainwashers.
