I got the number off a pamphlet from his sanctuary.  It said to call it for information about "retreats" at his church.  I think the line rolls over to his home at night, I spoke to Ruthie briefly Sunday evening.  I suggest you tell Virgil you got his number from a "Christian friend" and tell him you want some counseling for "abuse you received as a child".  See what he says and then bring up the fact that it was in Straight or KIDS and that he was the Abuser In Chief.   Should be good for a few laffs.

Better yet, file an affidavit with the "authorities" on remembered incidents of abuse that you witnessed or experienced during Miller or Ruth Ann Newton's tenures at one of the Straights or at Kids of North Jersey or Kids of Bergen County. If anyone has further advice regarding the specifics of filing such an affidavit, please post here.

Ruthie answered.  I asked for Fr. Cassian.  She asked what it was in reference to, I said I was a survivor of abuses at Straight, Inc. that he oversaw, and that she helped facilitate as well. I told her I wanted to know if Fr. Cassian would like to apologize, she asked my name, I told her, repeated my request, she asked my name again, I asked, what does it matter to you, Ruthie, I'm not the only one you two abused, there are thousands of us.  She hung up the phone.

Calling Newton's house is fun when you have a soundboard of filthy celebrity quotes from such greats as Jack Nicholson and others. The message I personally left, should they choose to listen, is very convincing. I think I'll leave some more of those soundboard messages essentially telling them that they can't handle the truth, and fuck you.
