You will find plenty on Thayer Learning Center and Roberto Reyes here:
http://fornits.com/wwf/viewforum.php?forum=39&1081Roberto Rayes fell ill at the TLC boot camp. His condition was later determined to be rhabdomyolysis. This is caused by the breakdown of muscle tissue and can result from, among other things, severe exertion, trauma, and heatstroke. The kids are forced to exercise vigurously for 12 hours a day and this could cause any of the above.
When he became too ill to exercise he was locked in a closet lying in his own excrement. He was like this for several days. They never bothered to call a doctor. They didn't even call 911 until 5 minutes
after he had stopped breathing.
At the autopsy multiple bruises and grazes were found on his body. It looked as if he had been dragged along the ground.
The coroner ruled that he had probably died from a spider bite dispite the fact that:
1. Spider bites do not cause rhabdomyolysis.
2. There was no bite mark visible on his body. Well, I guess it must have been difficult to find among all those bruises.
