I am now a very well adjusted 21 year old pre-law student. I was at hidden lake for 20 months. Any parents, soon to be students or interested parties that want to know the truth I'll tell it.
I have a lot of bad things to say about Hidden Lake. But at the same time, a lot of good. My life is amazing now. I'm in a great college, I've been dating/living with a wonderful girl for almost two years, my family and I are better then ever, even friends. Me and my father are going to see Lynrd Skynrd together, and we used to not even be able to speak.

I owe none of this to hidden lake. Everything I got out of hidden lake, I got from good kids, and the rare good staff. Lee Parham, if he is still there, perpetuates lies and treats the kids like shit. If he reads this, he is welcome to take that comment up with me, in a mature fashion if you can do that Lee. Some of the teachers there during my stay however, were amazing. Hawley Stevens, who judging from the staff page, still works there, and he was an intellectually challenging, friendly, and supportive teacher. I didn't really recognize anyone else I saw on the staff page, so I can't comment on who is still there.

I had a lot of crazy fun, and crazy bad experiences there. I'd like to share and also get in contact with any alumni.

Dan

Hidden Lake is located on a thin slice of heaven. It is on a hill that slopes downhill so its never difficult to reach the summit, which happens to overlook the entire earth. If youd rather not walk to the school, Unicorns will come and speak encouraging words to you, or simply give you a lift. On your way to the top make sure to say hello to the Oompa Loompas who are happily tending the chocolate river that flows throughout the campus, or kingdom as we liked to call it. You should also stop to smell the flowers along the path which only ever smell like cookies or apple pie. If you decide to take a tour of the campus I recomend the monorail which will allow to view the crystal sea from the best vantage point. Im sure it wont be a problem with Buchi for you to peek in on the re-programming errr I mean ummmmm the ummmm happiness classes, where the students learn to be happy, because believe you me, were it not for the love and mercy and backrubs of the staff of HLA we would all be "dead or in jail." Oh and theres always a rainbow over head every day, it never rains its always christmas and we eat nothing but candy and hugs.

What robert bruce means by devils kitchen, overlord, is one of the mountain paths near the campus of which there are many, a lot of which connect to the appalachian trail system

You gotta love Devil's Kitchen... lol... I did forget about that place until it was mentioned... forming day. Who else had Cathy Hopkins there? She and Kristen Bell did our forming day.
