TO THE PARENTS OF THE BOYS WHO RAN AWAY

<< < (3/8) > >>

Antigen:
So then 30 or 40 kids ganging up on one bigger kid is nothing to worry about?

An Animated Cartoon Theology:
1. People are animals.
2. The body is mortal and subject to incredible pain.
3. Life is antagonistic to the living.
4. The flesh can be sawed, crushed, frozen, stretched, burned, bombed, and plucked for music.
5. The dumb are abused by the smart and the smart destroyed by their own cunning.
6. The small are tortured by the large and the large destroyed by their own momentum.
7. We are able to walk on air, but only as long as our illusion supports us.

mouse:
Since you seem to know, Antigen, what does happen to kids when they come back to the Whitmore after attempting an escape?

Antigen:
Ask Joey.
The last struggles of a great superstition are very frequently the worst.

mouse:
I was there for the Joey incident. All of it.

So kids who attempt escape are told not to do it, it is explained to them why they need to stay for their full year, then watched to make sure they don't run away again? Okay. I'm sure that is to be feared.

Have you ever even met Joey? I hung out with him quite a bit when he was at the Whitmore. I know him, and I know his personality; along with his games. This is one. You're in it.
