well, didn't they just move the kids? Outpatient treatment program in Ohio sends kids to HOST HOMES in Indiana? What is going on? If its vacant, that building is an extreme financial liability given the current economic atmosphere. Even if it wasn't a shitty economy, it would be insane to keep such a weight, right? I mean, one reason a business would operate in a building would be to generate funds to do such a thing. I would be very interested to see how long it can remain empty without being used, meaning, it's a large hole in the hull right now if PFC is a true non-profit org. hmm, also, if someone were to rent it, they'd be a party to the whole issue.
Well, utilities and staff cost a lot of money. It is a lot cheaper to move a few families than to keep a building open for only a few kids. The building was
granted to them by Tri-state...(dba KHK)..... but I wonder if there are any liens against the property. That is their business. Either way, they are losing money. They shouldn't be conducting illegal experiments on kids and calling it treatment. If they were a legitimate organization, they wouldn't be in this mess.
As for what they are doing and why, that has yet to be determined. I assume they will attempt to sell or lease the building soon. I am sure they thought this out months ago before they started to fire their staff.
No matter what has happened, this is a very significant happening.
@Ursus:
"Assessment Center" instead of treatment center is just a way to net Cincinnati parents for the "bait-and switch" and try to get business for Indy. I assume, it is also a way to keep a few staff happy before they are "let go" and ultimately for saving face. Definitely a big PR spin.
