Have you ever been in a grocery store and heard the RMA music like wind beneath my wings or something?

What do you do?

I smile and think , you have no idea how close I can come to just taking care of myself right now while in the meat section!

Its really true how much that place will always be there forever as they said.

Just a lighter note than all the doom and gloom!

Normally it doesn't affect me. Maybe I will roll my eyes or something, simply because they played really crappy music.

I might feel a tinge of being disturbed if they play anything by the Plastic Ono Band. (Some of the stuff played in the I&Me) That shit makes me cringe a bit. I'm not a huge fan of John Lennon as a result of that experience. Plus, he was a pompous ass.

Lennon was a little full of himself at times, but probably because he knew he had such influence. He was an amazing songwriter. It makes me sad that his stuff was co-opted for evil by those assholes. He would roll in his grave if he knew what his music was used for.

There were quite a few great artists whose music was totally misused and abused for the Cedu system, like Neil Diamond. I won't let them ruin Neil for me. His son went to Cedu btw, I met him when he came back to visit. What would that have been like to hear your dad's music like that?

1. Green Day is a corn-filled, oozing, puddle of shit excuse for a band, so I don't give a shit what they cover.

I run out...  or panic.. or both.

I tried to listen to about 30 seconds of that yesterday...  I have a very visual memory.  I could vividly see everything that happened during that song.  I could not stand it.

That's not cat stevens. The original writer/performer was Melanie Safka, and used in the Imagine propheet. Did Cat Stevens cover it?

If so, you were lucky you heard that version, Melanie's is much more disturbing. I don't know a whole lot about her, and have actually only heard a couple of her songs, but I actually find her to be a very interesting person. (She's most well known for the song "Brand New Key")

She's a total fucking hippie child, but for some reason, I think she's more intriguing than the other ones.

Especially when she starts spitting French. I haven't heard that song in 20 years and this post is a disturbing jolt right back to it. I almost remember every word.

Good ol Cedu music - does anyone still have the graduation tape? Being someone in the music business it's funny to wow people with my disgustingly rich knowledge in Neil Diamond (shout out to Jessie), Simon & Funkel, beatles, enya, and shit of that sort! At the tailend of my world tour though there was a canadian chick who introduced us to sarah maclaclan before she got big over at BCA.
Overall the musical experience was quite rediculously funny!!!
