hey clover, please check your PM's.

you make some very valid points.  In retrospect, it probably was not a good idea to merge the responsibilities of the therapist to include the former RC's responsibilities in providing feedback to the parents.

I personally did not feel that this was a huge negative for our student.  The brutality of the raps and some of the workshops were concerns of mine.

good description of FRC.  As the anon said, they were the liason between parent and team staff.  Parents were called every week by the FRC or RC.  Often times, they were not in tune with the child from day to day, and was not the ideal form of communication.  When the therapists took over the job, it became even more diluted.  They were, I believe, resentful that they had to provide this service, and as a result did not do an effective job.

I'm a CEDU Idaho parent (was) too.  You sound like it has been a while since you were there, since they eliminated the FRC position quite a while back, then later reinstated them.  I may know you. How is your child doing?  Hope your son/daughter is doing well.  PM me if you'd like -

you are pathetic, all of you.  Does it make you feel empowered to say such crap about people?  Oh, I forgot, you were so perfect.... oh but wait, weren't you at BCA too?  There was a reason for that, no doubt.  So stop talking shit about people, it makes you look sad and miserable.  You should be building each other up instead of tearing each other down.  Shame on you.  Roy was right, CEDU taught you well. Get back your integrity.  Haven't you learned that bullies like you only feel worse when they bully?  Haven't you noticed that this forum has tanked, and that good people rarely come here anymore?  You should be sharing your stories, your fears, your successes, your failures.  Grow up.

Hey, you got sucked in.  Maybe you're playin' the same game, but, if you're not... these guys are a total f'ing joke.  Satire.  Not real.  Don't get sucked into their madness or their pathetic attempt for seeking attention.  They were *mildly* entertaining at first, but now, they are... well... sad and pathetic.  Haven't you noticed that the posters lately are posers?

I have been saying the same thing... DON'T FEED THE TROLLS.  While I may not agree with everything you have to say, Roy, I agree with you now.  This is ridiculous.  Everybody, listen up... ignore, ignore, ignore, and it will be extinguished.  As Roy said, it will get worse before it gets better.  But the behavior will be extinguished if it is not reinforced.  Psych 101.

Is this really anyway to address someone who is asking a respectful question?  By calling him a brainwashed f***? Come on, I think you can do better than that.

BCA's census has been at 60-70 for three years.  They haven't had 100 for quite some time.

I do believe that there are some good souls at cedu.  I have experienced some bad ones, but they are mostly good ones who do truly care about the kids at BCA.  I agree that they push the kids way beyond their capabilities(meaning the program staff's abilities) and can do some real harm.

Dear Mom,

I have a son who recently graduated from BCA.  He did well and does not regret his experience there.  Please Private Message me and we can talk more.

I don't think that is what the anon was saying, that this kid deserved a broken arm.  He was saying that this kid was a jerk.  He didn't deserve to be abused, certainly, but was a difficult kid to manage.
