I was like 8 or 9 when my mom bought this album for herself and I remember playing it nonstop. Good stuff!

A damn fine record! Have you checked out Monster Movie? It has a different singer.
Yeah it is! I had heard the title track years ago & loved it..so i had to get it the other day when i saw it at the record store...it was a used copy, so it didn't cost too much.. I'm not sure about Monster Movie...so Damon Suzuki wasn't the singer on it? What songs are on that one..?

Truly one of the better bands the world has ever heard, and that is arguably their best release.

I think I would have to agree; though there are SO many damned releases by The Fall, so perhaps I'm a bit out of my depth here. Other albums that I've enjoyed by them over the years have been Grotesque (After the Gramme), 77-Early Years-79, The Wonderful & Frightening World of the Fall, This Nation's Saving Grace, and Bend Sinister.

Yeah, they had a black American guy named Malcolm Mooney doing vox for them on that record.

Yeah, I've heard a lot by the Fall, but nowhere near their complete catalog.  ...Wonderful & Frightening.... is pretty good, too, but my fave is I Am Curious Orange (the title was a spoof of a Swedish artsy porno film, I Am Kurious Yellow).

Yes...I'm glad that you mentioned this as I meant to, but forgot to... Also, I think that The Fall actually put on a sort of 'rock opera' with Curious Orange as the theme, taking the spoof a bit further... Yes, they did: http://www.visi.com/fall/gigography/kurious_1.html

Some astounding string work by an artist who's name I can't remember and who sung about an unofficial field truce among soldiers during WWI, new strings on my guitar, low e to a-440, nail clippers (schnippety schnip!).

If you would have justice in this world, then begin to see that a human being is not a means to some end.  People are not commodities.  When human beings are just to one another government becomes obsolete and real freedom is born; SPIRITUAL ANARCHY.
