Tori,

With all the money parents pay the Sudweeks:
Why on the trip to Mexico did kids have big arguments because of "who slept on top of the bus and who slept UNDER the bus."  PLEASE do not bother denying this...it is a fact.  I am asking WHY -- since the parents pay SO MUCH MONEY, and the trip was PLANNED WELL IN ADVANCE...why no hotel/motel accommodations?

Know you were not on this trip....but WHY?

Why the constant meals of: cereal and hot dogs on this trip?

What was RIGHT about "sneaking" kids into a all-inclulsive resort? Know the Sudweeks sort of "paid, bribed a worker at the hotel"  But all inclusive resorts in Mexico REQUIRE guests to be registered at the hotel...NOT paying some hotel worker under the table.

What kind of example do you feel all this is setting for a bunch of teenagers?

Thank you for replying---and NOT DENYING.... ALL THIS DID IN FACT HAPPEN.

Sleeping "under the bus" does not literally mean "sleeping under the bus." The bus is split into two levels, loft-style like. I actually prefer the bottom because its split into beds and is always dark.

What do you know about Mark being a "peeker?" Does he really enjoy "peeking at the girls?"
Guess if his alternative is looking at his ugly-ass wife--"peeking at little girls" probably does entertain him....but that is sick, really sick!  Doesn't that scare you, Tori?

Know the Suds aren't above breaking the law now and then, but isn't "being a Peeking-Tom" against the law?  Maybe you could research that Tori.

Sure, get a username. Makes it easier to have a conversation.

Every act of a delegated authority, contrary to the tenor of the commission under which it is exercised, is void. No legislative act, therefore, contrary to the Constitution, can be valid. To deny this, would be to affirm, that the deputy is greater than his principal; that the servant is above his master; that the representatives of the people are superior to the people themselves; that men acting by virtue of powers, may do not only what their powers do not authorize, but what they forbid."

Chris- regarding the bus--split into two levels, loft style like.  Is this the red bus? about the size of a city transit bus??

Okay let's see...Sleeping "under the bus" really does mean the bottom part- not on the ground. Instead of uncomfortable bus seats they've put up a loft to make more room to stretch out both underneathe and on top. The top is fun because you can see out all of the windows. Usually the boys will ask if they can be underneathe because they can just lounge around more.
As for mark "peeking" I don't know why someone would press that rumor. seriously, enough is enough. He has never "peeked" at anyone, nor will he ever. That's not his personality. I've never seen him lurking or even looking cross at anyone.
Parents do sacrifice a lot for their kids. Money, time, fear, the constant "not knowing" feeling. I have an immense amount of respect for parents. But the money goes into the costs of going on the trips. It's a lot of money for gas, for renting camp grounds, and even more to shop for food at costco and wal mart. Hot dogs and cereal? Heck that's what we ate at home anyway!
A lot of the group loves cereal any time of the day. As for going out- they save up for really nice places every once in a while.
The hotel in Mexico? I don't know anything about a resort or anything. I went home because my big brother had just got back from Iraq and he was visiting my parents in Florida. So I bought a ticket and surprised him. It was very special to see him.
If I missed anything feel free to repeat...sorry if I did.

I see the question regarding how many kids are graduating in may. It's somewhere around 15+. It really depends on whether they stay sharp on their tests and make sure they keep up on getting enough "seat time" to earn the credit. A lot of them have worked so hard for graduating. It's important to get the diploma so that when they go home they don't need to stick themselves right back into their personal problems.
