DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES - You've got to read this
« on: April 04, 2005, 04:47:00 PM »
Last night on the show Desperate Housewives, the parents came into the son's room, told him he would be going to a camp for behavior modification, he said he did not want to go.

His parents were looking through brochures that made the place look fantastic. When they went into the boy's room, they told him about going to camp. He said he did not want to go.

They said he had no choice. In walked to large, buffed men who forced him to go. He started fighting and they grabbed his arms and held him there.

The mother told him she was sorry, that this would be the best thing for him, and he spit in her face. That's where it ended. I suggest you all watch it next Sunday night at 9:00 p.m., pacific time.

Yeah!, I caught that too.  Posted about it in "Free For All"
I haven't followed the show, but it seems to be very popular/talked about.  Maybe this issue is coming out from under the rock!

I suggest we all write the producers and writers and share our personal experiences. It would be a tradgedy if they made transports, camps, programs,RTCs look like a positive solution to teenage behaviors.

Anyone have the address where to write .

I missed it, but they're cheering about it over at ST. It's all about the boy, and how they can relate.
Nothing about the obsessive compulsive, controlling, perfectionist, cold/distant, and quite unscrupulous Stepford mom. He learned from the best.
No one mentioned that when he 'hit' the old lady it was because she ran out in front of him. What did mom do? Sold his car immediately and covered up evidence.
It will be interesting to see where they take this. Perhaps the writer would be interested in having the boy's wilderness experience end with him dying due to neglect- either Ian August or Aaron Bacon's story would be perfect. Or any of the other 36 stories that ended in death, for that matter.
They could show a young and ignorant staff instructing a kid to set his tent up under a heavily snow-laden branch that breaks in the night and crushes his skull. Or have him hiking unsupervised in an undesignated area and falling in a crevass. Or die like Chase Moody from an illegal and unnecessary restraint. There are so many unique story lines to choose from, it might be a tough choice. But, I'm certain they could find one that pleased and rivited the audience.

What is the link for "Free For All" mentioned below?  I'm not familiar with that forum and can't find it on a Google search.

 ::puke::

Not worth the effort of registering to comment to brain dead people. I might if they don't remove the link you provided Ginger. I'd like to post links to Bacon and August's death. See how the viewing audience enjoys those gruesome, non-fiction, tales.

I am incredibly baffled that the overwhelming majority of comments say nothing about the psychotic household this carachter grew up in.
I bet any one of those people would've spit in their mother's face if in that position. Sometimes it takes dynamite to wake a parent up. But, as always the kid will serve the time for the sins of the parent.

Next episode should be Bree reading survivors stories on the internet, pulling him, and calling in Nanny 911 to help her get her shit together. Wouldn't that be a hoot.
Wonder what the sadists on the message board would think about that twist?

03/28 - When Bree's son gets shipped off to some sort of juvy/rehab center for his drug problems, she will offend nearly every parent in the room with a diatribe about how she's not addicted to crack, didn't raise her child in a trailer park, etc. She's on fiyah

spoiler ---

The gay character is actually going to be Bree?s son, the pot-smoking problem teen who was behind the wheel of the car that put Carlos?s mother into a coma earlier this season. Expect to see more of him next season when all will be revealed re his sexuality, with Bree of course worried that her overbearing nature is the cause of it.
