I am not a "survivor" of Straight, but yes I was "invited" when my sister was put there.
"Just a visit! It's so important to us!" I said OK, received a plane ticket, but became very uneasy. There was this news story, about an MIT student, who went for a "visit"...
I "missed" the flight.
My sister was terminated after a few months. She was later diagnosed as schizophrenic.
She is still alive, but not really able to function well. Seems stuck at a very unhappy 13.
I have considered telling her about this forum, but she is so fragile, I do not think bringing back the thoughts would be helpful.
So I am here for her, by proxy.
