This guy still has control of all of you. You may as well make an alter dedicated to "The Honorable Mel."

Well, maybe not a god, but certainly a Saint (even if he is a christkilling Hebe).  Sembler did some great work funding and organizing Straight, but I'M the one who made it work. If there's a god in the ranks of the Straight, Inc. Executive Staff or Board of Directors, it's me and me alone, Druggie!  Now write an MI on respect for your Higher Power.......ME!

Love ya! Have a seat!

I can't believe I am responding to you, but I am bored and curious. This statement makes no sense to me for several reasons:

1)Weren't all early christians, and Christ himself, "Hebes"? So why be a hayta'?
2)Christ would not have been a martyr if he wasn't crucified, so isin't it a good thing for "us" all that he was killed? Shouldn't you be grateful to his killers?
3)Wasn't the whole die on the cross thing God's idea anyway? The Jews were not acting on their own behalf, God and his son had the whole thing planned out, every detail. Jesus agreed to the whole plan. This is one of the most touted parts of the story.
4)And wasn't it the Romans who eventually did the act anyway, not the "Hebes"?

Ok, bring it on, go circus-freak on me.

Yes, and this is one reason why some of us find the whole Christian faith a little creepy.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. The people who ran straight had the best of intentions. I hope they reached their destination.

WOW    PLEASE read up on this "Christian faith", and FIND the meaning, and understand.  It is SO worth it.  Your life IS worth it.

"When I met him on a sidewalk, he was preaching to a mailbox, down on 16th avenue
And he told me he was Jesus, sent from Jupiter to free us, with a bottle of tequila and one shoe
He raged about repentance, he finished every sentence, with a promise that the end was close at hand
I didn't even try to understand
He left me wide-eyed, in disbelief and disillusioned
I was tongue-tied, drawn by my conclusions
So I turned and walked away and laughed at what he had to say
Then causally dismissed him as a fraud
I forgot he was created in the image of my God"

One of the many, many reasons Antigen.

My life is worth more than believing in some invisible sky primate who arbitrarily deals out punishments and rewards to people who are too scared to face the fact that we're all on our own.

Oh... that makes my stomach churn. I bet if you REALLY knew more about it, you'd understand better.

I  would rather live my life as if   there is a God,
And die to find out there  isn't,
Than live my life as if there isn't,
And die to find out there is.

Then you're living your life out of fear.  That's not real faith.  God's gonna getcha for that.  I would rather just live my life as a decent human being and try to make the world a little better off than I found it.

Actually, I know quite a bit about it.  Here's some info you may find interesting.

Yes, and that is yet another reason to hate Xtianity.  Judaism is the root of all evil, then it mutated into Xtianity, then Islam. So, we have the kikes to thank for all the bullshit spawned by their monotheistic drivel, from the Inquisiton to Straight, Inc. to 9/11.  If it hadn't been for the LIES of the Jews, the world would be much nicer.

Ummm... I do not live my life in fear - not a BIT.

I understand God reigns from above and sent his Son to earth for us. Jesus IS my savior.  I'm not pushing anything on anyone...  I would hope that others would discover this as well.

Being a "good, descent human" is what everyone should be and strive for - but it WON'T get you eternal life - Jesus is the only way to that.  It's a GIFT - IF you recieve it.  Can't be "earned" by being good.  We ALL sin (some for then others)... God gives GRACE!

  Bless ALL of you ...

Oh, you poor deluded soul.  NOTHING will get you eternal life.  That's one of the reasons why religion was developed in the first place.  It's just too scary to think that when we die, that's it. So we come up with these myths that give us comfort.

Back before I was reincarnated
I was rotting in Jerusalem jail
I ain't trying to brag or nothing
But here's the story of how Jesus got nailed

First thing I did was I made him bend over
Then I grabbed hold of his flowing brown hair
I shoved my rod way up inside him
And I'll be damned if he didn't swear

"I've raised the dead, I've walked on water
You pack ass better than all but my father"
Cornholin' Christ, Cornholin' Christ
Cornholin' Christ is my favorite vice

So don't believe all those Sunday school stories
That say how Jesus bled on the cross
The blood that flowed outta that punk's asshole
Was the most blood that he ever lost

I said "Jesus, you are the savior
You're the messiah you're my only hope
Hey Jesus won't you do me a favor
Go to the shower and pick up the soap"

Christ, Christ, Cornholin' Christ.....

He pulled up his pants I zipped up my zipper
Then he blessed me and he said to me, "Friend,
I may be the ruler of Heaven
But your twelve inches rules my rear end"

Back before I was reincarnated
I was a prisoner in Jerusalem Jail
I ain't trying to brag or nothing
But Jesus Christ was my best piece of tail

This is one of the major problems I have with the whole god concept.  Someone can live a good and decent life, but if they don't bow down and pray, it doesn't count for shit.  Not a god that I want any part of.  What, is he so insecure that he needs all this adulation from us mere mortals?  Yes, that was sarcastic, but I really would like an explanation as to what the reasoning is for the praise.
