Serious question about the Saints

LOL! I'm actually not that hard to find, as I advertise my services, own real estate and so forth just like anybody.

What has caused me to be served and/or threatened w/ civil proceedings is just what you're looking at right now. I host a website where anyone can say whatever they want about the troubled parent industry and it is left to the reader to sort out what is credible and what is not. Some people are just really uncomfortable with that. They seem to believe that they have a right to prevent, by force of law, anyone saying things they don't like about their programs.

Ah well, thank GOD the courts are still fairly reliable in defending our First Amendment rights. It's sort of a catch 22 for the religious based programs, though, because the law that protects our God given right to freedom of speech is the very same one that protects their God given right to practice their religion as they see fit.

And I don't believe that was any mistake of oversight on the part of the Founders.

A man is accepted into a church for what he believes and he is turned out for what he knows.

My son is on a mission for the Mormon Church - so I know quite a bit about the LDS church. If they were Mormon Missionaries they would be about 19 to 23 years old - male or female. They do go tracting occasionally. They always wear white shirts, dark suits and ties. They also will have an identification tag - that states their name - ie: Sister Jones or Elder Smith.

The LDS church is in no way connected with these youth programs. There are quite a few in Utah - and many are run and opperated by people of the predominant faith in Utah. The church itself has absolutely nothing to do with these programs.

Except it won't speak up about them and it is still happy to take 10% of the money they make in tithes.

Ya' know, I think the real Saints might be starting to take notice. There's no way they could keep that many people all on game w/ anything too over the top. It takes time, though, for a new religion to emerge from puberty and settle into reasonable, tolerable behavior.

It's an open secret that the Saints pretty much own the Utah courts. And a Utah court recently denied WWASP a significant trademark infringement claim.

For the record, I don't think all Mormons are bad or dangerous people. I think any religion can be as dangerous as any drug if not used responsibly.

W/ any luck, the Mormons and LDS will come along just fine just like Islam has. There will always be deranged cult gurus claiming rights to the real [your favorite religion here] and making outrageous demands of their followers and us apostates based on that claims.

To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors, is sinful and tyrannical.

As a member of the LDS church - I'd like to suggest that people who have been abused in Utah youth facilities inform the First Presidency of the Church. I know for a fact that they hate any bad publicity.  If you do - I'm sure you will get a reply.
You can find the address at lds.org.

The LDS (Mormon) church would never support intimidation tactics such as hunting someone down and going to their home with the intent to intimidate someone.  I wouldn't give program owners same credit, and they may happen to be Mormon, but if anything out of the ordinary is happening then it is merely coincidental that they are hiding behind the guise of their religion.  Rest assured that anyone's God would not appreciate that type of action.

Jehovah's Witnesses are a totally separate church.  From the Catholic church there were Protestants, Baptists, etc. who branched off and formed their own churches, and they are all separate and don't have any ties.

People who were raised and educated in Utah are, in general, less intelligent and well-spoken than the general population.  Not everyone, I am not saying all of them, but they have done little traveling and do not speak or write well.  Anyone who watched the WWASP video knows what I'm talking about- the ignorant attempts to form analogies, the hickish accent, and gazing into space while speaking as if searching one's receding hairline for answers.

NO that is not true. I have had my name from the church rolls because I spoke with my ward bishop, stake pres and wrote to "prophet" his self and nothing happened.  I was assured that they in no way did not support the WWASP programs, even tho they may be run by members of the church. What a crock of shit ...that is one of the main reason I had my name removed.  And I thought the leaders were actually men of God. Yeah, right.
