Oh boy, this oughtta be fun.  Alot of this so called "nig culture" is the direct result of the downfall of good commercial radio programming.

Towards the end of the Nineties, the youth culture had run out of icons.  Kurt Cobain blew his brains out, Guns and Roses spent 3.8 Million Dollars on videos that showed fucking Dolphins swimming alongside Axel Rose as he strolled down a sidewalk for chrissakes!  The big feeling getting tossed around was a sense of profound disillusionment.  Nothing made very much sense anymore.  A wide gulf was created by the older generation X-er's and their older Pepsi Generation brothers and sisters who were raised on far superior music and culture than the shit that is spewed out nowadays.  They hung onto their superior tapes and vinyl and replaced the music with CD's bit by bit as the albums were released by the various labels.  Had it not been for the re-issue of older music onto a more modern form, I think that several record labels would have been in deep shit and that the mega mergers would not have been possible.

But, with this being America and all, the labels have to keep pumping out NEW and FRESH material.  When rap music and HIP HOP reared it's ugly head, the record labels jumped on it like a pit bull on a steak.  The reason is simple........the shit is cheap.  Cheap to produce, cheap to promote, cheap to market.  I bet Elvis is spinning in his fucking grave over the so called "talent" at this year's Grammy Awards.  Take that chick with the song "Milkshake"  holy shit Batman!  The gurl done be got some titties!!!  A racy ass video, and the chick's a damn millionaire!!

See it breaks down like this.......Country Singers make millions by singing about how uplifting it is being poor and the record companies just put a new spin on it.  Now Black Artists make millions singing about being repressed and denied opportunity.  Once they do find fame and fortune, they blatantly project it in their ridiculous and insane HIP HOP music and rub everyone's face in it.  All you gotta do to make it in the music business now is to strap yourself to about 10 pounds of Gumby Gold, throw some hydromatic shocks on your piece of shit car and BAMMM!!!! You is a star my brutha!!!!

There are still credible and amazing bands out there ..TOOL comes to mind...granted not many but theres good music you just gotta overlook the nig music.
