well, dont really agree with alot of the opinion s in this forum, i gotta tell you all that things are very different in elan now. I graduated from 3 about a week ago, as full of the kc. I never witnessed anything like what you speak of, but i only was there for 2 and a half years. I saw alot, and went through many hard times, but i never questioned any staffs intentions. I am grateful for the oppurtunity my parents gave me. my family has struggled lately, and elan gave me a scholarship. i was there for free. no school funding or anything. i'm from maine, and i went back to visit this afternoon for concept christmas. everyone looked very happy, and a bunch of other graduates where there to visit as well. andy ryan said if you quit, your nothing but a failure. i believe that, and didnt sign out because of that. some of you kids just run some tough guy bull shit, "leak you garbage" about how it didnt work for you blah blah... fucking cowards... :lol:  2 and a half years well spent...  AOL s/n Leev it to Beev

art, why do you feel the need to relive this "painful" experience everytime someone new joins sthis forum? Is it really that important to you to be validated for what you went through. Some of the things you talk about I went through at home as a child, befor Elan....I don't find the need to let everyone know all the time how tough I had it.

by the way ...to the original poster, Congratulations on your graduation. Elan was no picnic. I was there about 8 years ago. I also have very positive and fond memories . I built strong relationships with a lot of the staff and students. Glad to see they are still producing positive minded people.

     I have always thought sites like this were good because everyone could share whatever they wanted about their experiences at Elan. Sometimes the only way to help cleanse ones-self of the pain a place that Elan has brought is to rehash and re-live it. It is important that every view is shared and taken in at sights like this, from the good to the bad to the horrific, the truth should be known, the reason Art shares his Elan experience is because this is an Elan site, I am not trying to be rude so please don't take it that way, but this site is not just about you so we would not expect you toshare your childhood memories unless you wanted to.

i respect the fact that this is an elan site, and he has the right to express his opinions, however, my point was not to bash. I was seriously asking a real question. After looking back, it did come off a bit strong, but I wanted to know I guess if the pain is still being carried around. Just trying to get some info to give some caring words....sorry art if my previous post was taken the wrong way
