This is where Dr. Phil recommends Provo Canyon School to the family:
There is a clear and present danger to yourselves and to the other children involved here. That's the crisis mode," Dr. Phil warns. "When you are a parent, you have to be willing to step up and make the hard calls. What do you think would happen to her in her life if, in fact, she were to kill someone?"
Dr. Phil advises the family to seek counseling, emphasizing that it needs to be family therapy. "I think there is a clear and present danger. This child could hurt or kill you or someone else today."
David agrees. "I think this child is going to," he says. "I don't think she could, I think she's going to if we don't do something."
Dr. Phil tells the couple about the Provo Canyon School, a residential program for at-risk teenagers. "They have agreed to accept her into the program, and have a proven record of turning young kids' lives around," Dr. Phil explains. "It's your call."
David says, "I don't think we need to think about it. I think we'll accept it."
A man is accepted into a church for what he believes and he is turned out for what he knows.
