Darren delgado here...im really not worried bout people knowing who i am in fact you all probably dont even remember me because i was one of the lifers that left for S.T.E.P. in tampa...anyway whether you know me or not i will be visiting often...great site! :wave:

  Were you tortured and abused in STEP as well? Or LIFE?  Did the program mess up your life?

tortured...no...uncomfortable, and for a while...VERy unhappy but i got used to it...adapted and 7th stepped...almost became a staffer at step but i fell in love with another staffer and decided i couldnt be a staffer with my feelings for chandra...anyway my life is great...three kids...great wife...nice house and a career. it makes for some interesting and funny stories to tell my wife and friends!

I'd like to hear all about STEP.  Were the first counselors all from SAFE.  Was George Ross or Helen Peterman or any others from LIFE involved besides Gordon Davis?  

Do you feel your experience was positive?  Did it help you?  Did you see any abuse in any program you were in?  Do you have any papers including newspaper clippings?  Do you know of anyone who is no longer living who went through any of these programs?  Do you have any pictures of the program or facility?

Do us all a favor and go play in traffic.  Straight begat LIFE which begat STEP....they all use the same cultish practices.  It all follows the direct line.  Abuse doesn't have to be physical to leave a lasting impression.  Most of the damage that was done to me was psychological stemming from the whole way it was set up.  Break them down then build them back up.  Talk about PATHETIC!!!!!!!
