Wow. In St Pet in 81 Maan or cool or Later would get you a refresher but Full of Shit  was a prerequisite to the next phase.

Carmel they must have changed that right after I left...
 I left in jan 1989 and cussing was in full swing althought motivating was cut out...
  Instead we all half stood with bent knees raising 1 arm and going "ooh ooh" as if we were about to shit ourselves..

Admittedly, my memory of being in there is hazy, but I don't remember not being able to swear - it was about the only vice there was left! I vaguely remember hearing "Sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up" more than once.

I'll have to defer to Father A and his steel-trap memory.
