Who do you respect, admire, or really look up to?  Would be interesting to know everyone's input on this one.

My Father, I'm sure no one else knows him but for 43 years he has been My Hero. He grew up in an orphanage in Hartford CT. He was Verbally and physcially abused by the adults that were intended to care for him. He would get beaten for wetting the bed. He learned how not to treat people. He has always been there for my siblings and me. We didn't have much money when we were kids but we never knew it. He worked so hard but he always found the time to play with us, from baseball to sledding. I can still hear the laughter at the dinner table when he would throw a piece of spagetti at one of my sisters, my mother would get mad and start yelling so we would all throw a piece at her and she couldn't stay mad. There were three girls in five years with me being the third. My brother came along, 7 years later. So we girls all learned how to fix things, do car repairs, use tools, paint and do electrical work. It has made us all independent for which I am grateful. He opened his own business and became very successful. Not bad for only completing the 8th grade. He is very intellegent, although uneducated.(Well, self educated) He learned most of what he knows by reading everything he could get his hands on. I don't know why he wasn't allowed to attend school since he was only 14 when he stopped. I am so proud to have him for my Dad! I'm sure this wasn't what you were looking for but I wanted to share it anyway. Thanks  ::heart::   HOW ABOUT YOU?
