The website is changing hands
« on: June 12, 2004, 03:24:00 PM »
Hey guys its me, Kim.  I'm writing to let you all know that i am sorry for the past few years of not moderating this site or the message board.  I've had so much go on in my life in the past few years that I just haven't had the time or the energy to take care of it.  I started it years ago and worked very hard on all the articles and everything, but I just can't anymore.
I've moved back to NJ to help with my children whom I left 2 years ago thinking it was a good decision.  Apparently it was the worst decision of my life and now I have to get it together.  I don't mean to dump this all on ya'll I just like to keep you informed about my life because you are who i have talked to forever.
Anyway, the website is beiing turned over to someone who I know will take very good care of it and keep it updated etc.  I hope you can all understand and accept my apologies for not being the moderator that I needed to be.  It should happen within a few days.
I'll keep in touch and check the message boards of course every once in a while.  I did have lots of emails with names and wuestions that i actually lost when I moved back up here so again, I am sorry for anything I have not followed up on or responded to.  The new webmaster will be more up to date on everything and please keep the emails coming for the site always needs updating!  I was told at one point that there were over 1200 people admitted into KIDS over the years it operated and I KNOW we don't have that many names on the list, so keep the names coming also.
I feel like an asshole, because I really took pride in my website and what it stood for and the good I think it does, and for not being able to get my own life under control to take care of this.  But i know I'm doing the right thing for my kids and myself and for the site.
I love you guys a lot and hope everyone is doing well.  Take care.

You're not an asshole. You kicked things off for a lot of ppl w/ that site. Personally, I'll always be grateful to you for a little thing you once said one day. It meant so much to me and I'm sure you'll remember the day you said "Loretta! You're closing off! What are you hiding?!"

I'm sure everything will sort itself out for you. As w/ any other hard time in life, this too will pass.

Kim, you were there when we were just a handfull of people, and knowing you, you will be around for a while after you take care of your personal life.

Good luck with everything.

Kim, you rock.  You know you do because I've told you.
I know you're making the right decisions.
Call me once in a while and let me know you're OK.
