Yes there was. If you have questions, I was there in 1983-84.

Straight was located on Branch Hill Guniea Pike in Milford, Ohio closer to Cincinnati.  I was one of the original 55 clients that opened Cincinnati.  Straight operated out of that facility from January 6, 1982 to September 22, 1988.  There was one building expansion in 1983-84.

Hey Don,
I'm just starting to find out about DFAF and the Ohio government. I have few details so far, but I'm hearing back generally that people affiliated with DFAF have effective control over all of the state and county run treatment programs. And they're doing with it just as you'd expect; teasing the junkies by berating them with hostile confrontation, making them beg for their maint. doses, steadily reducing their dosage (involuntary withdrawal)... generally sabotaging their treatment and then shaming/punishing them for failure.

Check out http://fornits.com/anonanon/Forbes/ohio/ for some info. Don, are you at all inclined to do any leg work over there in your area? I'd really like to hear first-hand from some of these people. The trouble seems to be that the folks who are subject to the treatment are all pretty much afraid to say anything about any of the abuse or corruption because of the jail terms and/or loss of legal supply constantly hanging over their heads. But DFAF, from all I understand, is pretty much stonewalling any effort to establish any kind of treatment alternatives to their trial by fire methods and I really, REALLY want to bust them on that.

The kind of leg work I would like to do right now is just background and history information.  Gathering the specifics on clients that sued the branch etc.
I would also like to know first hand what is going on in that building now that Kids Helping Kids is operating there.  Not exactly sure how to go about it.  I have written Penny Walker, the Programs Executive Director but only to let her know I was a Client, Officer, and Staff Member in that building.
Any help from someone who can tell me where I might find this kind of information can forward it to me at StraightInc@aol.com

I was there too, dec. 84 to aug. 86. Seems like I should know you, Carrie, I've looked at your pic on the Alumni thing and I just don't remember! Hi hijackack (sic?)... I wonder if we know each other? Wendy M.
